How it works

A closed door. An open conversation.

The custode is a place’s artificial voice. It listens to memories and ideas and looks for new energy. People decide what comes next.

See what happens

For local councils · tackling depopulation

Places help keep villages alive.

A grocery, a café, a craft workshop: everyday services and reasons to stay. Custodi helps find people and possibilities to reopen them.

Statistics to understand

An overview of interest and contributions, to inform decisions.

Ideas to explore

Needs, proposals and memories reviewed by people, with their sources.

People to meet

Potential managers and new energy. Contacts are shared with the people’s consent.

The association supports the council, from interpreting signals to meeting potential managers. Assessments, meetings and the award remain with the municipality and its public procedures: the custodi prepare capable people for the call, they do not choose in its place.

From words to possibilities.

04 · Potential managers

Who could reopen it?

The custode gathers skills and interest from potential managers. The association follows up and, with people’s consent, connects the council with those who could bring the place back to life. A public place is only awarded through a municipal public call: until then, nobody is its manager. The promise is to find capable people ready to take part.

Contact details stay private, never on the board. Sharing with the council is agreed with each person: leaving a contact does not appoint a manager; management is always awarded through a public procedure.

05 · The statistics

Understand interest. Prepare decisions.

Conversations, contributions, ideas and offers to help: we give the council an overview of the signals gathered. To understand local needs, explore proposals and decide whom to meet.
